eTexts Support Many college classes now use eTexts as part of an enriched learning experience. You can set up your eTexts account in four easy steps and be ready to start accessing books two weeks before school starts in January. Need support? Bring your device to the eTexts support team in Connections – The Campus Store (H110) during AC Start.
First Gen Learn what opportunities are available to you as a First Gen student and how this can benefit your college career.
Intro to Tech@AC Learn how to use the online tools that are required at Algonquin College (Blackboard, ACSIS, and Live@AC), so you can access timetables, grades, and email. You will also learn how to connect to the wireless network at Algonquin. Get a full description of Intro to Tech@AC here.
Financial Aid and Student Awards Learn about options available to you for financing your education, including OSAP, scholarships, and bursaries.
Transfer Students If you’ve taken courses at another college or university, or have work experience in a field similar to what you’re studying at Algonquin, learn how to make that experience work for you.

Parent/Family/Spouse Info Session

Bringing a parent, family member(s), or spouse to AC Start? The Parent/Family/Spouse Information Session is an ideal opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the College. Featured session hosts include:

  • Student Success Specialists (provide support and resources to help students achieve their academic and personal goals)
  • Ancillary Services (AC Card, U-Pass, Food Services, Parking & Lockers, Connections: The Campus Store, The New Technology Store, and the Print Shop)
  • Student Support Services (services available to all Algonquin students in need of support)
  • Students’ Association (services and social events)

When registering, students should indicate if their parent/family/spouse will be attending the Parent/Family/Spouse Information Session.

Take an AC Tour (Pathway to Success)

Familiarize yourself with the Algonquin College campus via a 45-minute guided tour. (You can select a tour time when you are registering for AC Start.) Please arrive on time for your tour. All tours are offered at times that do not conflict with AC Start programming, in order for you to attend all information sessions.
